Nicki Minaj was sent to jail back in 2003 for the possession of a weapon with an intent to use it. The rapper/singer left all her fans shocked after she shared one of the most vulnerable memories from her early days in 2021. The famous celebrity shared two mugshots of herself when she was 20 years old and was arrested for a crime. Some found it very powerful to share such sensitive information while many netizens were dumbfounded and counter-questioned the singer on how she found her own arrest inspiring.

For the unversed, Minaj had once shared the mugshots on Instagram and her caption read, “Criminal possession with the intent to use. I did use it tho. This is so inspiring to look back. The girl was leaking blood and spent days in the hospital. The word on the street was that I was gonna b deported. I was so scared. LOL. I was ‘on the run.’ I rlly thought I was in a ghetto movie. Nicki Minaj was arrested for possession of a weapon with the intent to use it. According to the singer, she in fact used the weapon and left the victim bleeding and hospitalized after the assault.

The singer had shared this with her followers on Instagram and many questioned her on how she was proud of herself for stabbing another woman. Minaj however, ignored those questions and continued with her life.

During her time on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2013, Minaj got candid and shared that she was once very close to being arrested in Dubai for hugging a man. For the unversed, as per the law in Dubai, a woman can't hug a man if you're not married to the man. However, the singer ended up hugging a cop himself just because she found him cute.

Nicki Minaj said, “I went to give him a hug, and it was literally, I almost felt like time stopped in Dubai. I felt like everything froze. Every single person turned around in slow motion like, ‘Nooo!’” Adding that her entire entourage was nervous, Minaj added, “Everyone in my team thought I was going to be put in jail. It was the scariest thing. He kinda put his arms up a little bit and cracked a nervous smile, and I was just like, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry!’ and I just left.”
