Can All Elite Wrestling compete against the mighty WWE?

The news of the formation of a new wrestling promotion named All Elite Wrestling took the wrestling community by storm. The members of one of the most popular faction outside WWE, The Elite, are behind this project along with Tony Khan and his father Shahid Khan with the former acting as the president and CEO of the company while the latter serves as the promotion's lead investor.

The Young Bucks and Cody made history when they organized an event called All In. All the tickets for the event were sold in less than 30 minutes. This lead to the rumor that The Elite is looking to form their own wrestling promotion, and on 1st January 2019, the inception of AEW was announced.

Other members of The Elite include Kenny Omega, Adam Page and Marty Scurll.

The signing of WWE legend Chris Jericho created a buzz about AEW and people started believing in the company as a potential threat to WWE. Some people think that they can be a threat to WWE while others think that they will go down the same way that WCW did.

There is a need for MrVince McMahon to worry as the rumors suggest that many current WWE superstars are interested in signing with AEW. Also, Kenny Omega rejecting a lucrative deal offered to him by WWE over AEW is a major blow to WWE. The way WWE is making its fans remove their AEW merchandise while attending WWE shows is a win for AEW, but to really stand a chance against WWE they need something more, they need some star power and I am not talking about signing WWE Legends but people who can actively wrestle and make a difference.

So, I present to you the three superstars that can act as game changers for AEW in their battle against the mighty WWE .

#1 The Usos

The Usos are considered as one of the best tag team in WWE.
The Usos are considered as one of the best tag team in WWE.

The Usos have gone on to become one of the most successful and loved tag teams in the modern day WWE. They had huge success under their Samoan gimmick but when the gimmick started to become boring, they reinvented themselves and shot to success once again. They recently won their sixth tag team championship against The Miz & Shane McMahon in the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view despite the recent arrest of Jimmy Uso following an altercation with the police which also involved his wife and fellow wrestler, Naomi.

The fear of losing one of their biggest tag team to AEW saved Jimmy from a potential punishment and made them Tag Team champions.

If The Usos join AEW, they will bring a new fanbase along with them and we can have dream matches like The Usos Vs. The Young Bucks or The Usos Vs. The Lucha Brothers that can steal shows and give AEW a lead over their biggest rivals.

#2 Dolph Ziggler

The Show Off is one of the most underrated Superstar in WWE.
The Show Off is one of the most underrated Superstar in WWE.

Dolph Ziggler has been a part of WWE for a very long time. Although Dolph has an amazing resume, capturing the World Heavyweight Championship twice, the US championship twice and the Intercontinental championship six times while also being a 2 time Tag Team champion, both of his World championship runs were forgettable and many people believe that Ziggler deserves much more than what he got. His absence from RAW for weeks and his merchandise being sold at pro wrestling tees is making people wonder about the future of Dolph Ziggler with the WWE. AEW can be the place for Dolph to shine.

Ziggler is a household name and his move to AEW will hugely benefit the promotion in terms of popularity. If given the creative control for his character, Ziggler can do wonders for himself and AEW.

Apart from being a wrestler, Dolph Ziggler is also a stand-up comedian.

#3 Dean Ambrose

WWE has made it crystal clear that Dean Ambrose will not be resigning a contract.
WWE has made it crystal clear that Dean Ambrose will not be resigning a contract.

The lunatic fringe had an amazing run with the company during his time in The Shield and rose to main event status after the dissolution of The Shield. A former World Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion and Tag Team Champion, Dean Ambrose has had an illustrious career in WWE and before WWE under the name of Jon Moxley.

He used to fight death matches for CZW, where he won their heavyweight championship twice. There were rumors indicating that Ambrose will turn on The Shield after there reunion but a legitimate triceps injury delayed the plans and after nine months Ambrose returned with a new look and teased a heel turn time and time again. The fans waited so long for the WWE to pull the trigger and when they did it and the way it happened, it turned out to be a big botch.

Ambrose turned heel the day Reigns announced a break from wrestling due to his battle against leukaemia, the people expected a promising storyline between Rollins and Ambrose. The fans wanted to see the Jon Moxley gimmick but they got a man who hates unhygienic people and wears a gas mask similar to Bane. People chanted boring during the first match of the feud which had immense potential if the company had pulled the trigger at the right time. Dean has decided to leave the company as he is not happy with the direction in which his character was going and was granted release.

This could be the chance for AEW to strike a deal with Dean and bring his character to its full potential, something similar to Jon Moxley. A feud with the likes of Chris Jericho and Hardcore matches with Jimmy Havoc and Pentagon Jr, can be show stealers and give WWE a hard time. Ambrose will bring his star power and his WWE fanbase along with him which can give AEW a lead and help Ambrose get back what he lost in his forgettable heel run.
