All Elite Wrestling may only be just over one year old, but that doesn't mean they haven't already done a great job of building a strong and efficient reputation for themselves.
They are quite clearly the number two force in professional wrestling, and it didn't exactly take them all too long to get to that point. With an average of around 700,000-800,000 watching Dynamite every single week, they've got a great platform to build on as we look ahead to the remainder of 2020 and beyond.
One thing we think AEW has great potential with is the mainstream media. WWE has clearly had quite a bit of success in that department over the years, and we wouldn't be at all shocked to see a few members of the All Elite roster break out beyond professional wrestling.
#5 Britt Baker
She was a decent babyface but ever since she's turned heel, Britt Baker has been really thriving in All Elite Wrestling. In addition to having a great look with fantastic in-ring abilities, the character side of things is starting to help Britt become one of the most well-rounded performers on the entire AEW roster.
We could easily see her taking up another career alongside wrestling, potentially even in the world of acting. We already know how good she is in the ring, so why not test her skills in Hollywood?
Out of all the female stars in AEW, she certainly seems to be leading the way in this department. Of course, Awesome Kong has already made a name for herself in that area, but we believe Baker could reach heights that we've never really seen before - aside from someone like Stacy Keibler.
Long story short - she's really good, and everyone should know that by now.
#4 Darby Allin
Sometimes you have to be a little bit weird in order to get over with the masses, and if you don't believe us, go and talk to Jeff Hardy.
He's made a career off of being unique and challenging himself, pushing his body to the limit in the process. If there was ever a Superstar who could be deemed his successor in that department, it has to be Darby Allin.
He's already coming across like a bonafide main-eventer in the making, and the crazy thing is that we haven't even really seen the full extent of his arsenal yet. In the next few months and years we're going to get a very good idea of what he's capable of, and we hope that extends to his work on the mic, too.
He's not the conventional idea of a main eventer by any stretch of the imagination, but there's a reason why so many were talking about him from the moment All Elite Wrestling became a thing.
There's potential there, and AEW knows it.
#3 Matt Hardy
One thing we all know to be true is that Matt Hardy is one of the most creative professional wrestlers of this or any other generation. Time and time again he has been able to reinvent himself across a variety of different promotions, and while it hasn't always worked out, he has certainly been able to land on his feet with the broken gimmick.
All Elite Wrestling would've been well aware of the impact that having someone like Matt could bring, and despite the fact he's almost certainly moving into the final few years of his in-ring career, there's still a lot left in the tank.
Most of the success with Matt's current run comes outside of the ring, too, or simply in his promos. He's so 'out there' that he could say literally anything and it would probably make sense within the context of the broken universe.
The next step will be to get him out there promoting AEW on various talk shows - and at that stage, Matt will take care of the rest.
#2 Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega hasn't exactly come firing out of the blocks just yet during his stint in All Elite Wrestling, or at least, not with the same sort of success he was able to enjoy with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Yet despite that, we all still know that there's a good chance he's going to become one of their biggest and most successful stars sooner rather than later. He has the look, he's one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, and he can alternate between being a fan favorite and a heel with relative ease.
It's all about packaging him in the right way, which is something AEW is probably trying to do with half of their roster right now. Omega became an icon in Japan, and perhaps one of the reasons for that is because he wasn't being featured on TV week in and week out.
We aren't saying they should turn him into a part-timer, but there's definitely something to be said for sporadic appearances.
#1 The Young Bucks
As far as tag teams go, The Young Bucks are right up there with the most notable teams of the last 15-20 years.
They aren't everyone's cup of tea and it's perfectly okay to admit that, but nobody can deny them of their overwhelming success in and out of the ring.
We think the continued success of their Being The Elite series, coupled together with their work ethic, their look and their abilities in the ring, could lead to bigger and better things for them in the next few years. They can't keep going on at the same speed they have been forever, and when the time comes for them to slow down a bit, there are so many options for them both in wrestling and outside of it.
They aren't on the same level as the likes of The Hardy Boyz & Edge & Christian, but give them a few years and they could wind up surprising people that previously wouldn't give them the time of day.
