What's the story?

The cat is out of the bag, ladies and gentlemen. Earlier today at the All Elite Wrestling: Double or Nothing rally, one of the major surprises came in the form of AEW signing former WWE Superstar and current NJPW performer, Chris Jericho.

This serves as a major signing for the company, as Jericho can be a valuable asset to the organization and a wrestler whom the company can build its future stars around. Jericho can virtually work with anyone and can still go in the ring.

In case you didn't know...

Fresh off the heels of dropping the IWGP Intercontinental Championship at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom XIII to Tetsuya Naito, many have speculated that Jericho would be seeking a future IWGP World Championship match against Hiroshi Tanahashi. However, it seems as though Jericho may be going in a completely different direction.

The heart of the matter

Chris Jericho and All Elite Wrestling have made it official, folks. Jericho will be one of the premiere stars for AEW, as he officially signed on the dotted line. AEW President Tony Khan was present, as seen in the tweet/video below, as the contract was signed by Jericho this afternoon.

"Chris Jericho is now 'All-In' with All Elite Wrestling. We are going to change the universe, baby!!"

What's next?

All Elite Wrestling will be presenting their first event "Double or Nothing" on May 28th, 2019 live from the MGM Grand Studios at Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will serve as the official successor to "All-In" and is expected to be a major event, for obvious reasons.
