What's the story?

All Elite Wrestling have been the talk of the town in 2019, and now the first match has finally been set for their first ever event - Double or Nothing.

The promotion has confirmed that Adam 'Hangman' Page will go one-on-one with Pac, formerly known as WWE Superstar Neville, at the event in Las Vegas this May - after both men stated their desire to be the inaugural AEW Champion at the two recent AEW press events.

In case you didn't know...

At the AEW Rally last month, the seeds were sewn almost instantly for a Pac vs Adam Page feud when the star formerly known as Neville interrupted the man who vowed to be the first AEW World Champion, laying down the gauntlet.

During the Double or Nothing Ticket Party, Page once again stated his desire to be the inaugural AEW Champion, only for Pac to interrupt again via satellite. From there, the challenge was issued and all that was left was for the match to be made official.

The heart of the matter

The first match announcement ever by AEW has now been made, with the promotion announcing that Pac will take on Adam 'Hangman' Page at Double or Nothing on May 25th.

AEW announced the news today via Twitter, with Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes confirming shortly after.

What's next?

Double or Nothing takes place on May 25th, fittingly, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The MGM Grand Garden Arena will host the monumental event, and we'll no doubt have more announcements coming very soon.

Well, we'll keep you updated with how the card shapes up. Meanwhile, you can check out our predicted card for the event here.
