Will Goldberg sign with AEW?

What's the story?

AEW took the world by storm when Chris Jericho and PAC, formerly known as Neville, made their presence felt at the All Elite Wrestling Rally in Jacksonville this week, but one legend who had been rumoured to sign with AEW was notably missing in Goldberg.

Last week, it was speculated that both Jericho and Goldberg may sign with the company, and now Tony Khan himself has addressed the Goldberg rumours!

In case you didn't know...

WCW legend Goldberg returned to WWE in 2016 and shocked the WWE Universe by beating Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in incredibly quick fashion, before going on a run as Universal Champion and bowing out at WrestleMania.

Goldberg looked to be in as great shape as his WCW days, and with the comparisons between AEW and WCW in terms of opposition for WWE, the rumours flying around seemed to be pie in the sky - until Rajah.com reported that Barry Bloom would have a big recruitment role in All Elite Wrestling, with Bloom holding a close relationship with Goldberg.

The heart of the matter

On X Pac's 12360 podcast, Sean Waltman spoke with Tony Khan about AEW and, more specifically, the rumour that Goldberg may be signing with the promotion.

Khan neither confirmed nor denied a deal, but did speak incredibly highly of Goldberg and confirmed that they'd been in communication. Khan spoke of Goldberg's football past and how he still has strong connections in that world, before stating that he "really likes Bill" and spoke of Goldberg's recent WrestleMania bout.
