All announced wrestlers for the AEW roster so far

AEW has some big names attached already!
AEW has some big names attached already!

After All Elite Wrestling was announced by Cody, The Young Bucks and Adam 'Hangman' Page on 'Being the Elite' we knew that they'd be involved both in a backstage role for the company (well, not Page, but the others) but would also be working as active wrestlers.

What we didn't know, was who else they were going to get to wrestle against. Every wrestling promotion needs a roster and the members of 'Being the Elite' certainly weren't going to be able to go it alone.

Soon, the signings of SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) and Dr. Britt Baker were announced. Then, at the AEW 'Double or Nothing' rally several more top independent wrestling names were added to the ever-growing roster.

Let's take a look at everyone signed to All Elite Wrestling so far.

#1 The Elite (Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Adam 'Hangman' Page)

Whilst many would have expected all of 'The Elite' to be involved in AEW that hasn't come to pass yet. Marty Scurll is still contracted to Ring of Honor and Kenny Omega's future seems uncertain.

However, Cody, The Young Bucks and Adam 'Hangman' Page are all signed to All Elite Wrestling and will be active wrestlers for the company.

At the AEW rally, Adam 'Hangman' Page indicated that he wanted to be the first ever All Elite Wrestling champion but was interrupted by someone who we'll get to later on the list.

As for Cody and the Bucks, they share a joint behind-the-scenes role as Executive Vice Presidents of the company.

I, for one, can't wait to see what 'The Elite' get up to in their own promotion, with the creative freedom that they're afforded with 'Being the Elite'. I think they're all going to have great wrestling careers.

#2 Britt Baker

Britt Baker is someone many would have assumed would go to WWE given that her partner Adam Cole is currently enjoying his time there in NXT. However, she was the first talent signed to AEW's women's division and is quite the 'get' for AEW.

Many will be familiar with Baker for her work on the independent circuit, but her real breakout for a large majority of people was during the Fatal Fourway match at ALL IN against Tessa Blanchard, Chelsea Green and Madison Rayne.

Blanchard is now with Impact, Green is at WWE but Rayne could join Baker at AEW.

#3 Joey Janela and Penelope Ford

'The Bad Boy' Joey Janela is at AEW and so is Penelope Ford!
'The Bad Boy' Joey Janela is at AEW and so is Penelope Ford!

Joey Janela has cemented himself as one of the top figures in independent wrestling and is widely credited for relaunching the career of PCO and launching the career of Marko Stunt. He's also a pretty good wrestler.

His partner, Penelope Ford, however, is certainly no valet. She stole the show from under Janela and 'Hangman' Page at 'All In' and proved why she is certainly one to watch. She recently had a shot at the NWA Women's title too!

#4 SCU

Will AEW be the worst town SCU have ever been in? I know that doesn't make sense, just go with it
Will AEW be the worst town SCU have ever been in? I know that doesn't make sense, just go with it

Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky have been wrestling for what feels like half a century, with it feeling like Daniels and Kazarian were in TNA wrestling a long, long time ago.

Nevertheless, they're one of the best tag-teams in the wrestling business and have made a name for themselves as SoCal Uncensored in Ring of Honor and they're definitely a huge acquisition for AEW.

#5 Brandi Rhodes

Brandi Rhodes may have been announced as the Chief Brand Officer for All Elite Wrestling, but you can be damn sure she won't be giving up her wrestling boots and staying in the office for the new promotion.

She's spent the majority of 2018 travelling the world and wrestling in Japan, Australia the UK and, of course, America for promotions like Stardom and Ring of Honor. She's improved massively and will only get better at AEW

#6 Pac

Pac is here!
Pac is here!

Widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world and recently returned to the indy wrestling scene, Pac is an absolute master signing from AEW. He announced his arrival at the AEW rally confronting Adam 'Hangman' Page and promising us fireworks between the two in the future.

Pac is currently the Dragon Gate champion and has multiple indy dates booked in the UK and elsewhere so is sure to have a busy year ahead of him. I can't wait to see him in All Elite Wrestling.

#7 Stronghearts

This is really, really exciting
This is really, really exciting

A lot of people are sleeping on the announcement of 'Stronghearts' a stable of incredible wrestlers currently wrestling for OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment) headed by CIMA who some may have seen at last years PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament.

The group is incredibly talented and this is a list of the current members CIMA, Dezmond Xavier, Duan Yingnan, El Lindaman, Gao Jingjia, Takehiro Yamamura, T-Hawk, Zachary Wentz, Seiki Yoshioka.

Now, as Matt Jackson said when he announced the group's involvement, you won't know who a lot of these names are, but they're doing things we haven't seen in wrestling. And if you are familiar with the likes of CIMA, Zachary Wentz and Desmond Xavier you'll know that's true.

#8 Chris Jericho

Jericho is 'All In'
Jericho is 'All In'

It seems Chris Jericho is done with WWE, as the next big adventure for the 'Ayatollah of Rock and Roll' is signing for AEW and being part of a new wrestling promotion from the ground up. Jericho officially signing full-time to AEW is a big deal given his journeyman status of late, and he'll be a massive help for everyone else involved because of his experience.

I mean, he's literally a legend and will be instrumental in putting over the top talent for the company and ensuring AEW has a future.
