What’s the story?
During the latest instalment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that Rey Mysterio could show up at the next set of tapings of Impact Wrestling, scheduled for Wednesday at the Universal Studios of Orlando.
In case you didn’t know…
Talks between the master of the 619 and Impact Wrestling started last year but ended abruptly for economic reasons. Since then, Rey has worked for Lucha Underground and wrestled as a free agent in the independents across the globe.

This should be treated as a rumour, but this is what Dave Meltzer stated: "There's definitely been a dialogue between the two parts. Nothing is set in stone yet, but they working hard to bring him at the TV tapings scheduled for this week".

Rey Mysterio is one of a kind and has achieved a legendary status after wrestling for 20 plus years.
A jump ship to Impact Wrestling would be a shocking moment but would provide the fans with some interesting matchups. One thing is for sure: if Rey does indeed sign with Impact Wrestling, he won't appear at the upcoming Royal Rumble despite the recent rumours.
