E-L-P has finally arrived!
E-L-P has finally arrived!

What's the story?

In the aftermath of the group's sixth anniversary, Bullet Club has now officially added another member to the faction, as Canadian sensation El Phantasmo has been revealed as Bullet Club's newest member.

In case you didn't know...

Canadian wrestler El Phantasmo made his Professional Wrestling debut in 2005 for NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling and initially started out as an Independent star competing for promotions such as Powerzone Wrestling and All Star Wrestling.

However, in 2017, Phantasmo debuted for British promotion RevPro: UK and eventually established his place as one of British Wrestling's finest superstars. In 2018, Phantasmo also competed and won the British J-Cup before eventually making his way over to Japan this year.

The heart of the matter

During the first night of the 2019 New Japan Cup, a vignette was aired in order to promote El Phantasmo's NJPW debut and by the end of the clip, it was revealed that Phantasmo was bound to join Bullet Club.

After several months of teasing, at tonight's NJPW: Wrestling Dontaku show, X was finally revealed as Phantasmo, who teamed up with former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Taiji Ishimori and defeated the dynamic duo of Will Ospreay and current Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Dragon Lee.

Phantasmo, as expected, was hugely impressive in his debut and also got the win for Bullet Club, ending their 0-5 Wrestling Dontaku losing streak in the process after the newest addition to the BC pinned Ospreay for the victory.

Also, as noted, ELP also wore a flashy, light jacket which was first worn by Bullet Club's originator Prince Devitt (Finn Balor).

What's next?

ELP is now officially a member of both the Bullet Club and the NJPW roster and the Canadian star is expected to make a huge name for himself in the JHW Division. Expect him to either break out as the next big singles star and also make an impact as part of the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Division, alongside Bullet Club's third Junior member Robbie Eagles.
