In case you didn't know...

Over the course of the summer, WWE decided to write The Revival off TV due to an injury to Scott Dawson, which he suffered on August 5th at a live event in Canada. Dawson's bicep injury in a match against Cesaro and Sheamus kept the former NXT Tag Team Champion out of action for 5-6 months.

The heart of the matter

The Revival faced off against Heath Slater and Rhyno over the course of their return to Monday Night Raw earlier today.

Following their dominating win over Slater and Rhyno, The Revival were interviewed by Mike Rome, who asked Dash and Dawson if they are going to pick up from where they left off, before Dawson's injury.

Dash Wilder first stated that he and his tag partner are 'top guys' and claimed that The Revival is indeed going to pick up from where they left off. Additionally, Wilder said that the only people who are able to stop The Revival, are The Revival themselves.

The returning Scott Dawson then said that The Revival is 'the absolute baddest and the best tag team on this planet.' The 33-year-old then stated that there isn't any tag team on this planet who are capable enough of making down Revival's block. Wilder ended the interview saying that The Revival actually never left off and have always been picked up.

What's next?

As for Dash and Dawson, it seems pretty clear that the former NXT tag team champions have put themselves in contention for the Raw Tag Team titles and we could soon expect to see "The Top Guys" challenge The Bar, current tag team champions.

Author's Take

With Dean Ambrose out with an injury and Roman Reigns also missing in on the action, it seems like The Shield have been omitted from the Raw Tag Team division for a temporary basis, which means that this is the perfect time for The Revival to step in for The Hounds and engage into a war with Sheamus and Cesaro.
