Dax Harwood: A Brief Biography

David Michael Harwood is an American professional wrestler signed with AEW. Dax Harwood is best known for his work with Cash Wheeler. He is a former RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and AEW Tag Team Champion. He is the current ROH World Tag Team Champion.

Professional Wrestling Career


WWE (2014-2020)


In 2014, Harwood signed with WWE and started working in NXT. He started wrestling by his new name, Scott Dawson and teamed up with Dash Wilder as The Mechanics. The team rose to prominence after a year of working together. The duo was involved in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and lost in the semi-finals. On NXT, the team won their first NXT Tag Team Championship by defeating The Vaudevillains.


At TakeOver Dallas, the team lost the title to The American Alpha. The duo regained the title two months later on TakeOver End. The duo began their rivalry with DIY, which concluded at TakeOver Toronto when they lost the titles. It was one of the best rivalries of the year. The duo worked in NXT for a couple of months before making their main roster debut.

The duo made their main roster debut on RAW when they defeated The New Day. The duo quickly made an impression by defeating several teams on the main roster. However, their run ended when wilder was injured and taken out of action for eight weeks.


In 2018, the duo had several rivalries over Lucha House Party, The B-Team, The Club and AOP. In 2019, the duo finally captured the RAW Tag Team Championship when they defeated Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler on RAW. The duo lost the titles at WrestleMania 35 to Zack Ryder and Curtis Hawkin. They regained their championship a month later.


In September, the duo began teaming up with Randy Orton to attack The New Day. At Clash of Champions, The Revival defeated The New Day to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The duo lost their championship at TLC. In 2020, they released the team from their WWE contracts.

AEW (2020-Present)


After leaving WWE, the duo changed their name and joined AEW. They made their debut and attacked The Butcher and The Blade. They quickly began a winning streak and challenged the champions. The duo hired Tully Blanchard, who became their manager. At All Out 2020, the duo defeated Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The duo lost the title to The Young Bucks in less than three months.


In 2021, the team joined forces with MJF and became members of The Pinnacle. The stable destroyed Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. The stables faced each other in a Blood and Guts match on an AEW Special and won. The stables collided again at All Out 2021. They lost to the Inner Circle in a Stadium Stampede match.


The duo is currently in a rivalry against The Lucha Bros, where they defeated the team for their AAA's Tag Team Championship. In 2022, the duo kicked Tully Blanchard out. At Supercard of Honor, they defeated The Briscoes to become the ROH World Tag Team Champion.
