What's the story?
In a recent interview with Starsport, WWE Hall of Famer and 16-time WWE World Champion, Ric Flair, revealed the names of three superstars who he believes are currently the top performers in the WWE.
In case you didn't know...
Ric Flair is a former 16-time World Champion and is considered as one of the greatest legends of the wrestling business. Flair is mostly known for his time with WCW, NWA, and the WWE where he has won numerous achievements including the WCW World Championship (8 times), NWA World Championship (9 times), WWE World Championship (2 times).
Flair is also a two time WWE Hall of Famer and has eight five-star matches to his name. The 68-year-old has also won Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Wrestler of the Year award on numerous occasions.
The heart of the matter
During his interview with Starsport, Ric Flair talked about a host of wrestling related topics and also decided to reveal his current favourite performers in the WWE. Flair stated that according to him, the two best in-ring performers in the WWE today are 14-time World Champion Randy Orton and current WWE Champion AJ Styles.
Flair also added that former WWE Champion and current Shield member, Seth Rollins comes in as a close third-best performer within the WWE today.
"I think the two best performers in the company right now are Randy Orton and AJ Styles - Seth Rollins being close right there."
What's next?
Flair's answer can be justified by the fact that he has had a rich history with both Orton and Styles in the past. The former WCW World Champion was Randy Orton's Evolution stablemate from 2003-04 and Flair has also worked with AJ Styles in the past as his manager/mentor in Impact Wrestling.
Flair has also had a brief interaction with The Shield in the past when he praised "The Hounds of Justice" back in 2014.

I think Ric Flair is absolutely right about this one, there is no doubt that current WWE Champion AJ Styles is definitely the top performer the WWE has to offer right now and Randy Orton is truly one of the most skilled veterans within the company. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, is also a former WWE Champion, Tag Team Champion, and US Champion, which automatically speaks for itself.
