5 Things Jose Mourinho could do instead of taking up a new managerial job

Jose Mourinho had an early holiday forced upon him by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich almost two weeks ago. The Portuguese coach, who won the Premier League title and Capital One Cup last season, will no doubt be inundated with job offers soon, but is currently on holiday in Brazil according to reports.Mourinho has had a very rewarding career, winning League titles in every country he has worked. He also boasts two Champions League winner’s medals, and at 52, he still has a lengthy stretch in management ahead of him.But suppose the former Chelsea boss were to decide that he no longer wants to be a football manager? After all, he has already won everything at the top level. Where else could he fit in?Here are five other job opportunities he could consider.

#1 Watch Design

Mourinho is obviously passionate about his football, but that aside, the manager also has a love for classy watches - Hublot in particular.

Now a brand ambassador for the luxury watch company, the Portuguese has even helped design his very own watch, the Hublot King Power "Special One” which sells for as much as £30,000.

Mourinho, who claims to add a new watch to his home collection every time he wins a trophy, would no longer have to wait for silverware if he were to take up a career in watch design. He could always just head to work and build something whenever he feels like.

He might find it difficult getting past the number three on the clock face, though, as his adventures in football have proven that he never gets past a third season at any club. But then again, what good is a three-hour watch?

#2 Acting

Had he been English, Mourinho would have probably been the perfect fit for the James Bond role. The man is classy, witty and fearless, however, his accent wouldn’t take him very far into a 007 audition.

He should have better luck trying out for the next Mission Impossible movie, though. He already tried something similar with Chelsea but wasn’t given the chance to finish the season – sadly.

It’s not hard to picture Mourinho taking on threats as an IMF agent. His tactical skill set would be of great use in the world of espionage, and up until recently, he was known for getting the job done. If he had any sort of say in such a film, one could imagine the villain being a quiet Russian billionaire with a mega-yacht who hides behind a technical director.

Getting rid of the pair would be Mourinho’s mission... should he choose to accept it.

#3 Barbering

In 2013, his first season back at Chelsea, Mourinho somewhat surprised the media when he strolled into a press conference with an unfamiliar but sharp-looking haircut.

“I did it myself,” He revealed. “I asked Fernando to give me his machine and I did it myself in front of the mirror. It is nice and it is cheap. In a couple of months I will have hair again. Some people can't do it.”

He did admit having to send a selfie to his wife before he could even venture home, but she obviously thought that it was good enough to let him in the house. Perhaps Mourinho could consider opening up his very own barbershop. He did a pretty good job on his own hair; and besides, he could always blame someone else if he makes a mistake.

#4 Being A Bus Driver

Often accused of ‘parking the bus’ as a result of his emphasis on defence as a manager, Mourinho could probably try his hand at public transportation. The former Blues boss would have no difficulty getting hired and he just might have an enjoyable time.

He could drive around his favourite place (London) all day, have some Costa coffee between breaks, then park the bus as much as he likes when his shift is over.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger would surely think twice about walking around the place, knowing that a seething Mourinho could be lurking around the corner, waiting to run him over.

#5 Horse Breeding

Mourinho has shown that he knows a few things about horses. Describing Chelsea as a ‘little horse’ in his first season back with the club, he predicted that the Blues would be a main contender the following campaign.

Sure enough, his team burst out of the blocks from the very first day and never looked back. The little horse of the previous season grew into a magnificent stallion which took the Premier League by storm, ultimately trotting past the finish line for a first place finish.

Mourinho could apply his profound knowledge of horse care to a career as a breeder. Former Manchester United manager Sir. Alex Ferguson, who shares a good friendship with the Portuguese, could always be called upon for advice, as the Scot is in the business himself.

There’s no doubting that a Mourinho stable could produce a champion racehorse. He should certainly give it some thought.
