The best reaction however, was probably from David Beckham and also Hull City manager, Steve Bruce, who interrupted his own press conference to bring up the goal and said “What a goal. The goal capped off Suarez' hat-trick and he added another later.

Manager Brendan Rodgers considers him to be among the best players in the world, as he said after the match "I've not seen many individual displays better than that. It was sheer brilliance, I always like to talk about the team but tonight you've got to hold up Luis as one of the best strikers in the world. It was a pleasure to watch that. He is up there with [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi. The quality of his finishing is just at an incredible level."
