#1 Arsenal

• Spanish sports daily AS claims that Arsenal are looking to sign Real Madrid’s Alvaro Arbeloa despite signing Mathieu Debuchy recently, confirms Inside Spanish Football.

• TalkSport reports that Arsenal have made a €30m (£23.7m) bid for William Carvalho after losing interest in Sami Khedira.

• According to the Daily Star, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to bring Liverpool’s Daniel Agger to the Emirates.

• Arsenal are plotting a late bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, reports Express.

#2 Manchester United

• Chile manager claims that van Gaal has doubts about signing Arturo Vidal because of concerns over the midfielder’s right knee, reports the Guardian.

• Atletico Madrid’s Arda Turan rejects rumours linking him to Manchester United, Sky Sports has confirmed.

• According to TalkSport, Atletico Madrid target Javier Hernandez’s father and agent has admitted that the striker’s future is undecided.
