Road to WWE SummerSlam: Best Way to book Bray Wyatt

In his limited time in the main roster, Bray Wyatt has managed to establish himself as a WWE superstar who made the shows a must watch. His mystique and demonic ways of taunting his opponents was a quick hit with the fans and Bray simply rode on it to build a cult following for himself. For WrestleMania, WWE even gave him the biggest opponent in form of John Cena which shows the faith that WWE has in Bray. However, the problem with having John Cena so early in your career is that whatever WWE gives him next will be compared to Cena. It’s a valid argument that there aren’t many names bigger than Cena in the roster which places a need for WWE to give Bray some new direction. Since SummerSlam it the next big pay-per-view down the road, here is the second installment of the Road to SummerSlam series which will look into the best way to book Bray Wyatt.

#9 Win against Cena at Extreme Rules

Despite the big buildup that the match had, Bray Wyatt lost against Cena at WrestleMania which didn’t go down well with the fans.

Bray looked like someone who couldn’t live up to his words when Cena pinned him as he could neither bring out the monster in Cena nor make the Cenation leader fall. And that makes it a necessity for Bray to pick up a win at Extreme Rules.

Inside the steel cage, Bray could get out the monster inside Cena. Cena could beat up Bray with a steel chair while Bray will be laughing out loud. In the end, Bray could win the match and thus ending the feud with Cena.

A newly diverted Cena could go into a different feud with the loss in a B-grade pay-per-view not at all affecting him.

In parallel, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins could align with Evolution and take out Roman Reigns in a precarious situation while Batista will be taking his time off.

#8 We are going to take the machine down

With Cena done, what the Wyatt family has next will only be the Authority. As Bray mentioned in his feud with Daniel Bryan, he is someone who doesn’t like the machine which runs things in WWE.

So after he took out the face of the company, he could just go after the company itself establishing himself as a babyface.

Stephanie will be on the other side of the mix and will be easily swept away by the brilliance of Bray Wyatt. The only thing that Stephanie will have by her side will be Kane as her husband will be busy with Roman Reigns.

With Bray coming after her Stephanie could book the match between Kane and Bray Wyatt for the next pay-per-view, Payback.

#7 Kane with Stephanie McMahon vs. Bray Wyatt at Payback

It’s going to make sense when Kane would want to take out his frustrations on Bray since he didn’t really follow up on the storyline where the Wyatt Family took out Kane for many months.

So it’s going to be more than just the feud between Stephanie and Bray as Kane would also have some score to settle with the eater of the worlds.

The problem that WWE needs to address will be to book the two in a match which doesn’t make both of them look bad. That’s because both Bray and Kane have similar styles in which they dominate their opponent.

After some interference from Stephanie and her deadly evil deed, Bray could beat Kane and come out as the winner at Payback.

#6 Bringing Ascension into the feud

With Kane failing to get the job done, Stephanie will be looking for people who could take out the Wyatt Family as a whole. So in order to even up the numbers, she could bring in Ascension (who could be the tag team champions by that time).

Ascension is similar to the ways of Undertaker which makes them ideal partners for Kane. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan could also get the titles away from Ascension to make it a more interesting affair.

Likewise, in order to end the rabid run of Bray Wyatt and his followers Stephanie could book the six men tag team match at Money in the Bank.

#5 Wyatt Family vs. Ascension and Kane at Money in the Bank

Kane will be looking to settle the scores with Bray while Ascension will be keen to take out the team who ended their title reign. And Stephanie on the ringside will be out there tom make sure that anyone who stands up against her is taken down.

WWE has shown some brilliance in booking six men tag team matches recently and this one would be no different.

With a lot of psychology involved in the match, it could be a treat for the fans. Stephanie trying to turn the result to her favor adds more spice to the whole encounter.

However, despite the efforts of Stephanie, Wyatt Family could walk out as the winners of the match.

#4 Stephanie asking Triple H for help

With Kane and the Ascension falling, Stephanie could punish the trio. Ascension will not be given a tag title shot as long as the Wyatt Family are champions and Kane could be pushed back into the suit .

While Bray Wyatt starts to get on her skin, Stephanie could finally go to Triple H seeking for help. He could send his Evolution buddies, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to help her as he could embark on a singles feud with Roman Reigns.

Rollins, Ambrose and Orton is going to be a great addition for Stephanie’s cavalry and Rollins and Ambrose could even take away the tag titles away from the Wyatt Family.

After some exchanges of control, the match could be set up at Battleground under war-games rules between the Evolution vs. Wyatt Family.

#3 Evolution vs. Wyatt Family in a War Games match at Battle Ground

For the fans who expected a War Games match between Evolution and Shield, this is going to do the job better.

Rollins and Ambrose could be better partners for Orton than Triple H and Batista in terms of in ring ability and having Wyatt Family on the other side makes things much better.

The gimmick match itself will make it a big hit and having a dynamic background storyline will make it a match which sells the pay-per-view. Rollins and Ambrose going into the battle as tag champions will make Wyatt Family want to win it more as they would want their title back.

And after a well worked match, Wyatt Family could walk out as the winners having another one in the face of Stephanie McMahon and getting their tag title shot at Summer Slam.

#2 Give me a chance on my own

In a typical Orton way, he could blame the defeat at Battle Ground on Rollins and Ambrose. He then could ask Stephanie to give him a chance to take out Bray Wyatt on his own.

While the rest of the Wyatt Family will be going after the title of Rollins and Ambrose, Orton could be booked in a one –on – one match against Bray Wyatt.

To add more stakes to the match, Stephanie could make it a loser leaves WWE match thus making it Orton’s last chance to prove himself to the fans.

#1 Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton (Loser Leaves WWE match) at SummerSlam

A lot will be at stakes at SummerSlam when Orton faces Bray under such a stipulation. On the other hand, the rest of the Wyatt Family will be facing Rollins and Ambrose for the tag titles to make sure that everyone gets their time on the card.

Orton as heel and Bray as face would be a fresh approach for the fans and since Orton is a great talent inside the ring, the match will not disappoint as well.

WWE could end the match with Bray winning making Orton take time out from WWE for some time. Orton could later return as a face in the company which will solve the problem of him running as a stale heel.

Bray on the other hand could lock horns with Triple H since that he has dispatched everything that Stephanie has thrown at him. v
