With Chelsea leading the Premier League table and Arsenal dealing with a lack of defenders, there ought to be some surprising transfers. #1 Arsenal

Arsenal target Krystian Bielik could be the new Patrick Vieira. Arsene Wenger’s scouts are keeping a tab on Legia Warsaw’s Krystian Bielik. The ability of the Polish defender to accurately produce long-balls across the field has earned him comparisons to Patrick Vieira.

Joey Barton suggests Arsenal should sign John Stones. Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton believes that the Everton defender could fill the void left by Arsenal’s massive injury list.

Arsenal are planning to launch a £3m bid for West Ham defender Winston Reid as Sam Allardyce confirms that Reid has no future at Upton Park.

Chelsea plans to launch a last minute move for Wilfried Bony. Fresh reports are claiming that Chelsea might beat Manchester City to the signing of the Ivorian from Swansea City. Manchester City’s bid was rumoured to be £30m, but Chelsea seems ambitious enough to make Bony don the blue jersey.

Liverpool to sell Mario Balotelli to fund a double move. The officials are planning to sell Mario Balotelli, in an attempt to acquire Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain and Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero. The Italian striker, Balotelli has been struggling to stay in form since he joined Liverpool and PSG might see this as an opportunity to strike a successful deal.

Neto could arrive at the Emirates Stadium accompanied by Christian Benteke. Liverpool are keen on signing Fiorentina goalkeeper Noberto Neto for £2m to the Italian side. Meanwhile, the officials are gearing up to make a move on Aston Villa’s ace Christian Benteke with a bid of £15m.

#4 Manchester United

Almost done deal, Ayemeric Laporte is soon expected at Old Trafford

Manchested United are hoping to beat Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin as the Red Devils need reinforcements at the midfield. Danny Higginbotham, former defender of Manchester United said, “Man Utd are still a little bit short in midfield and I'm sure that they'll be looking to get new players in."

Manchester United are close to finalising a shock deal for Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao. The deal is 80% done and the offer was made for a fee of £25m. Laporte is said to be a boyhood United fan and is considered to be one of the best young defenders in the world.

Louis Van Gaal might be interested in making a deal with Besiktas for their winger Gokhan Tore. According to reports, the Red Devils are planning to sign Tore for £5m. He attracted a lot of attention from the Premier League clubs after having an excellent season with Besiktas.

Can Gil become Aston Villa’s saviour?

Aston Villa are close to finalizing a £3.2m deal for Carles Gil. The Villians are hoping that the Spaniard will be the solution to their goalscoring problems. Carles Gil currently plays for Valencia as their attacking midfielder. Gill is expected to be in Birmingham for talks over his five year contract which will be signed for a fee of £3.2m

Tom Cleverley of Manchester United to make a permanent move to Aston Villa. He was on the radar of Everton but now, the Englishman will make a move to Villa Park. Though it has been reported that Cleverley was desperate to make a move to Goodison Park and would reject Villa’s offer in order to complete a move to Everton.

Everton are likely to sign off their striker Samuel Eto’o to Serie A side Sampdoria. The Cameroon legend has been offered an 18 months loan deal to move to Italy and will be offered £1.6m a year excluding additional bonuses.
