5 Relevant legends that WWE should sign

Team 3D

Goldberg made his return to the ring after almost a decadeWWE is using a great tactic down in NXT. They are bringing in veteran wrestlers into promotion and giving the youngsters some great exposure. The company has already roped in the likes of Rhyno, Brian Kendrick and Tommy Dreamer to do the honor. But these superstars are not making the cut into WWE’s main roster due to their lack of drawing power. However, there are a handful of legends outside the WWE that could draw big. For one reason or the other, Vince McMahon is keeping them away from a deal. If Vince ever changes his stand, here are some relevant legends that he could sign even if it is for a short term contract.

#5 Dudley Boys

Team 3D

The rumours surrounding Dudley boys are at an all-time peak. Dudleys are rumored to face Wyatt Family at SummerSlam for the Tag Team Champions. WWE, however, is yet to release any official news. We did see Bubba Ray Dudley make a surprise appearance at Royal Rumble, but unfortunately for the fans, it did not turn into something big.

Bringing Bubba and bringing the team, is entirely different concepts. D-Von Dudley and Bubba Ray Dudley as a unit will be more useful for the company at this point. They could serve as the cornerstone of the tag team division, which is in a crisis right now. There will be no signs of rustiness as well since these two are regular wrestlers in the independent scene.

#4 Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon

To get the record straight, Shane McMahon is not relevant in the wrestling business. But if you ask a wrestling fan about him, they will have a clear cut memory of his run in the WWE. Currently, Shane is busy with his own business ventures. However, if Vince McMahon wants Shane back in the wrestling business, he wouldn’t have to shed much sweat.

Professional Wrestling is something that fits Shane and he needs to get a new deal soon. Now that he is too old to wrestle, the best idea would be to sign him up as a personality. Shane could be a parallel Authority figure or could even take control of SmackDown. Giving him the keys to NXT is another great option.

#3 Chyna

Chyna

Chyna might be a controversial entry into the list for many reasons. First of all, tagging her as a legend might make some people frown. Have no doubt about it, she is a legend. Chyna has a lot of records to her name and was a phenomenon back in the Attitude Era. What is keeping her out of the company is her career in the porn industry and the relationship she had with Triple H.

But these sound like only lame excuses from WWE to keep Chyna out. Having Chyna in the divas division as a wrestler or a manager could be a big boost for everyone. She could even be a good authority figure since she has friction with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

#2 Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle has been the backbone of TNA for a long time now. Despite this, Kurt deserves a bigger stage to end his career. He is not someone whose career should end in front of just two thousand or three thousand fans. Kurt is far away from his prime when it comes to wrestling but if WWE is willing to sign him in a deal similar to that of Brock Lesnar, Kurt could go on to wrestle for a minimum of five years.

He might have spent some quality time down in TNA, but Kurt is still a big draw. The fans would love to see him back and there are some meaty possibilities. Who would not like to see a match between Kurt and Seth Rollins or Kurt and Bray Wyatt?

#1 Goldberg

Bill Goldberg

Goldberg recently made big headlines by stepping back into the ring. It was not a full-length match, but the Jackhammer he delivered says a lot.

There is a lot of rustiness in Goldberg to shake off, but if he does that, he could have a few more matches in the WWE. He is staying away from the company due to Vince McMahon and Triple H. But if Vince is willing to make an offer that Goldberg cannot refuse, then we are in for a treat.

Goldberg will draw big without any doubt and just like all the other names listed, he also has endless possibilities. Even if Goldberg cannot wrestle, he could be signed up as a personality.
