Triple H and Kane had some solid matches in the early 2000s. This one was a chain match with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Now, a chain match is not necessarily a gimmick that allows the wrestlers to perform well, but Kane and Hunter overcame these limitations to have a good bout.

Kane, who had the physical advantage put it to good use and this kind of made Triple H the underdog. The match went in favour of Kane in the end thanks to some unintentional help from Steve Austin and this gave him the Intercontinental championship as well, making him the third grand slam champion in the history of WWE.

How many times do you see four legendary names in a same match? The expectation levels for this match were sky high because of this and all four superstars lived up to the hype. The subplot of the match was the broken hand of Kane.

Austin and Triple H had earlier broke Kane's hand but it was not enough to keep Kane away from the bout.

He stuck around throughout and the other team required an interference from Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon to get the match in their favour. It was Triple H's sledgehammer that did the job but despite the ending, it was a classic match.

#3 Shane McMahon vs. Kane (Unforgiven 2003)

Shane McMahon will be remembered for his daredevil attitude and his last man standing match with Kane was one of the bouts that helped him build that reputation. Shane wanted to seek revenge against Kane after Kane went on to perform a tombstone pile driver on Linda McMahon.

And this served as a good foundation for the violent match that these two had.

Shane and Kane made great use of the surroundings and punished each other. Shane crashed and burned in the final moments and it served as a perfect climax for the match that took the fans on a roller coaster ride.

#2 Steve Austin vs. Kane (King of the Ring 1998)

This match was one of the major turning points in the Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon feud. Austin was the reigning WWE Champion back then and when Kane defeated Undertaker to earn a shot at Austin, Vince decided to back the Devil's favourite champion.

It was booked as a first blood match and this stacked the odds against Austin as Kane wore a mask.

Both superstars went on to produce a classic performance in the match and in the end, Kane walked out with the championship. It gave Austin a purpose and his title chase proved to be a great boost for the ratings.

#1 Undertaker vs. Kane (WrestleMania 14)

The combination of Undertaker and Kane has produced a handful of memorable matches. But this will perhaps be the most standout one. The feud started right after Kane's debut in the Bad Blood pay-per-view of 1997.

Taker initially refused to fight Kane since Kane was his brother but finally agreed to bury the relationship at WrestleMania 14.

Kane came in and dominated Undertaker throughout the match and it seemed like he was going to win the match. But unfortunately for Kane, Taker had other plans.

It took the deadman three tombstones to get the job done but despite the loss, Kane looked strong.
