Nia Jax may some day enter the Royal Rumble. Might be this year too.Every year the Royal Rumble arrives much to the WWE fans’ excitement. The anticipation is not just garnered around who’s going to win and move on to main event Wrestlemania, but essentially who all are going to return or make a one-time surprise appearance. And once in a while, WWE makes a woman enter the fray dominated by men. Well, honestly, women fighting to get a championship opportunity to face a male champion just goes on to show, how the WWE championship is at the highest of the hierarchies, hence rendering the female championship below par in comparison. And hence, only those women are allowed to participate who normally don’t fall under the narrative of a hypersexualized or sexualized ‘divas’ division. Of course, they don’t win. They may still do it this year just for the fun of it. Here are 5 women who can be in the Royal Rumble match-

#1 Nia Jax

Nia Jax is injured, storyline wise, on NXT.

The one woman in the present scenario of female wrestlers in the WWE who has the best chance to be the one woman at the Royal Rumble match is arguably Nia Jax.

Her sheer build is enough for you to not ignore her. If you look at the history of women being in this eponymous PPV match – be it Kharma, Beth Phoenix or Chyna, it is very easy to imagine Nia Jax repeating that feat someday.

The only thing that may be of concern is that according to the NXT storyline she hasn’t been cleared to compete yet after her match with Bayley at Takeover: London.

#2 Sara Del Rey

Sara Amato has been an important part of building the NXT female division

They might just do it, just for the fun of it and for a one-time thing.

Ever since Sara Del Rey signed with the WWE, fans imagined her actually wrestling for the company, but soon it came to the fore that she was appointed as a trainer. Since her arrival, the division has seen a monumental improvement as far as in-ring skill is concerned.

All the NXT female performers credit her majorly and that justified her promotion later on. But it’s just hard to ignore that before all of this she was the most well-known and popular independent female wrestler.

It’d be something to see her wrestle for once in the WWE.

#3 Asuka

Asuka’s menacing presence is guaranteed to garner fear.

Sure, she does not boast of the build that women who’ve entered the Rumble in the past have but Asuka also does not fall in the narrative of being a hypersexualized version of a female performer in the WWE.

She is menacing and her eerie smile presents a morbid picture. Her kicks and submission moves can put anyone in danger. That sort of a fear may not just be induced by women around her and for that reason, she may very well make an appearance at the Royal Rumble.

#4 Havok

Havok had a WWE tryout in 2015

So, Havok formerly wrestled for TNA and the one picture imprinted in many minds maybe the time she had an altercation with Awesome Kong (Kharma) when the latter returned to TNA.

Havok also had a WWE tryout in 2015, which was later marred by controversy because of some tweets from years before. Those tweets were said to be racist and homophobic, for which, she issued an apology later on.

But she hasn’t been hired by the WWE yet. But in the world of wrestling – never say never. Imagine Havok debuting as Sister Abigail and completing the Wyatt Family.

#5 Kharma

Kharma was granted release from her WWE contract 4 years ago.

She may just equal Chyna’s feat of being the only woman to enter the Rumble twice.

Kharma entered the Rumble for the first time in 2012, but that did not lead her in being a regular character on the main roster. It was later revealed that she was granted the release from her contract because she wasn’t ready to compete in the timeframe that they had allotted.

Even though she is very much interested in returning, it is a long shot since she is in the middle of a storyline in TNA.
