NBA Props for Saturday's Slate: Look for Ja Morant to get over his assist prop tonight

The NBA season has tipped-off, and some of these teams' new-look rosters are going to take some getting used to. Tonight's matchups are hard to gauge, as there are some mismatches on paper. However, the first few days of the season has taught us the adjustment period some NBA teams require to get into their best form. There are some player prop lines we are going to attack on the slate, and if you want to bet on this, you're in the right place.

Prop #1: Ja Morant over 7.5 Assists (-111)

Last season, Ja Morant exploded onto the scene averaging close to 30.0 points per night. The most impressive feat of last season was winning the Most Improved Player award after winning Rookie of the Year in the previous season. Do you know how much you need to improve to accomplish that? Well, Morant has done just that.

The Memphis Grizzlies' point guard has evolved his game perfectly to an NBA style, and now has an argument to consider himself a top-3 point guard in the league. Last night, Morant scored 49 points while dishing out 8 assists against the Rockets. You can expect a little less shot volume tonight against a Dallas Mavericks defense that will try to focus on him. Lock in his assist prop!

Prop #2: Josh Giddey over 12.5 Rebounds+Assists (-128)

Josh Giddey has already solidified himself as one of the best rebounding guards in the league. In his first game, Giddey pulled in 11 rebounds against a Minnesota team that has Rudy Gobert and Karl Anthony-Towns. Yes, Nikola Jokic is a great rebounder, but Giddey has the ability to get into the double digits against in a much better matchup.

The Nuggets are allowing guards to rebound at a pretty high level thus far, including last night's game against the Warriors. Although the Nuggets should control this game, the Thunder should be able to keep things competitive enough for the starters to play normal minutes.

Prop #3: De'Aaron Fox over 23.5 Points (-110)

De'Aaron Fox is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He has the ability to score the ball at will and has improved on his three-point shot. In the Kings' first game, Fox dropped 33 points in 35 minutes. The volume and usage have both been very good over the last few seasons, as he has gone over this prop in 9 out of his last 10 games.

The Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard and John Wall, so he should have plenty of opportunities in what should be a competitive game. Let's sweep these props!
