Atlanta Hawks v Detroit Pistons
Can the Detroit Pistons put up a fight against Trae Young and the Hawks?

Atlanta Hawks (-6.5) at Detroit Pistons (O/U 229)

Detroit City Basketball may be on the way back up, but they have a long way to go. Trae Young and the outside shooting of the Atlanta Hawks are too much for the young Pistons to handle.

Prediction:

Atlanta 118

Detroit 109

Charlotte Hornets (-2) at Orlando Magic (O/U 220)

To the surprise of many, the Charlotte Hornets have one of the more balanced lineups in the Eastern Conference. Terry Rozier is playing lights up for the Hornets. As impressive as Paolo Banchero has been in the early going, he doesn't have enough help to keep pace.

Prediction:

Charlotte 111

Orlando 104

Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics (-6.5) (O/U 217.5)

I can't wait for this one. A battle of two (3-1) squads as the Cleveland Cavaliers travel to The Garden to take on the Boston Celtics. Donovan Mitchell has been extraordinary for the Cleveland Cavaliers, giving them an offensive presence they haven't had for some time.

Boston plays a tenacious style of defense, particularly at Home. Boston wins this game, but I'm giving the Cavaliers enough credit to keep it close. Take the points.

Prediction:

Cleveland 110

Boston 114

Philadelphia 76ers (-1) at Toronto Raptors (O/U 213)

The Philadelphia 76ers need to right the ship and turn their season around following a horrific beginning to the 2022 season. The last time out, the Toronto Raptors used their inside-outside game to thwart the 76ers. Joel Embiid and Philadelphia are out for revenge on the second game of a doubleheader. Philly gets it done in this one.

Prediction:

Philadelphia 110

Toronto 106

New York Knicks at Milwaukee Bucks (-5.5) (O/U 223)

The New York Knicks are a more formidable team than they have been in quite some time. The Knicks can wear you down on the interior with Julius Randle or beat you with their guard play with Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett.

The Milwaukee Bucks remain undefeated and look to challenge the Eastern Conference title. I'm taking Giannis and the Bucks to get it done at Home.

Prediction:

New York 109

Milwaukee 117

Los Angeles Lakers at Minnesota Timberwolves (-7.5) (O/U 229.5)

Until the Lakers prove me wrong, I will keep betting against them. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have no help on either end of the court.

The Timberwolves can take control of this game any number of ways. The Lakers remain winless while the Timberwolves continue their charge.

Prediction:

Los Angeles 106

Minnesota 116
