John Isner
The veteran John Isner, currently ranked eleven, will look to better his record of two US Open 4th round wins by going past 2009-champion Del Potro in the quarter-final. For a player who has previously beaten Grand Slam champions such as Federer, Djokovic and Roddick, he is closer to a Major win now than ever before.
The 33-year-old faced his toughest test against Canadian and third-ranked Milos Raonic in the fourth round yesterday. In a five-set match, Raonic won the first and the fourth set. But Isner, one of the biggest servers on the circuit, held his nerve and took the fifth set to reach the quarterfinals.
