Australian Open champions Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek have reached the semi finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
The seventh seeded Indo-Czech duo scored a 7-6(6), 6-4 victory over Spaniards David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco.
The two will now meet the top ranked Bryan brothers in the semi finals in a repeat of the Australian Open final which Paes and Stepanek won.
The Indian-Czech duo broke serve twice to win in 87 minutes.
Paes is gunning for his third title in Miami in a row having won with Luka Dlouhy in 2010 and Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011. Bhupathi is also in the semi finals this year with new partner Rohan Bopanna.
