Australian Open 2019: Serena Williams vs Eugenie Bouchard: Where to Watch and Live Stream details

23-time Grand Slam winner and arguably the greatest tennis player of all time, Serena Williams, opened her Australian Open 2019 account against her close friend Tatjana Maria on January 14. She achieved an easy straight-set victory against Maria, winning the match 6-0, 6-2 in less than an hour.

She will now take on Canada's Eugenie Bouchard in her 2nd round encounter tomorrow, that is, January 17th, 2019. Bouchard opened her account at the Australian Open this year with a straight-set victory over China's Peng Shuai 6-2, 6-1.

Williams and Bouchard have played against each other twice in the past with Serena coming out on top on both occasions. Bouchard has taken just 1 set off Serena so far.

The Canadian struggled with injuries for a year or so before making a strong return in 2018. She looks rejuvenated and will hope to cause an upset over the 23-time Grand Slam champion.

The match will take place prior to the blockbuster encounter between Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Rod Laver Arena. It is also the first match of the night session.
