An entire season comes down to one final match! Indian doubles duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna will clash against fourth seeded Mariusz Fyrstenberg/Marcin Matkowski at the BNP Paribas Masters Series event in Paris on Friday with the winner clinching a berth in the season ending ATP World Tour Finals in London next week.

The season ending event brings together the top 8 doubles teams of the year as they battle it out for bragging rights of being the World Champions – the most prestigious title in the tennis calendar after the four majors.

On Thursday, the fifth seeded Indians scored a 6-0, 6-4 win over French wild cards Julien Benneteau and Adrian Mannarino.

India’s other doubles superstar Leander Paes has already qualfied for the season ending event with Czech partner Radek Stepanek. Playing this week with makeshift partner Jurgen Melzer, the Indo-Austrian pair suffered an early defeat on Thursday in Paris – going down 6-7, 4-6 to French wild card pair Ouanna & Renavand.
