China Open: Nadal, Carreno qualify for doubles semifinal
Beijing, Oct 5 (IANS) Spain's Rafael Nadal and Pablo Carreno on Wednesday qualified for the men's doubles semifinals of the China Open tennis tournament, after eliminating Chinese Gong Mao Xin and Zhang Ze 7-5, 6-3.
Nadal and Carreno became the first semifinalists of the tournament after resolving their quarterfinal match in one hour and 20 minutes.
The Spaniards still do not know their opponents in the next round, since their potential rivals have yet to play the qualifying match.
