The grass-court season was the best phase for Draper in 2024. The Brit won his first ATP title, winning the Stuttgart Open, and reached the quarter-finals of the Queen's Club Championships. On the hard courts, the World No. 28 had a great start to the season by reaching the final of the Adelaide International, losing to Jiri Lehecka. He also reached the semi-final of the Acapulco Open, where he had to retire against Alex de Minaur.
Jaume Munar is having a disastrous season in 2024, which is reflective of a 12-19 record for the season. The Spaniard last played at the Olympics, where he lost against Alexander Zverev in the first round. That has been the pattern for the World No. 89, who has mostly lost in the opening rounds of the ATP events he has played in.
Munar showed some decent performances in the qualifying rounds of the Cincinnati Open to make it to the main draw. He won against Hugo Gaston of France in the first round in straight sets and then won a tricky three-set match against Lorenzo Sonego of Italy in the final qualifying round.
