Day 5 of the Copa Colsanitas 2023 will take place on Friday, April 7, with eight players fighting for four semi-final spots.
Tatjana Maria, the highest-ranked player left in the tournament, will be up against Nuria Brancaccio, while Sara Sorribes Tormo will take on Kamilla Rakhimova.

Seventh seed Sara Sorribes Tormo will take on fourth seed Kamilla Rakhimova in the quarter-finals of the Copa Colsanitas 2023. it will be the third meeting between the two, with their head-to-head currently tied at 1-1.
The WTA 250 event was Sorribes Tormo's first tournament since October 2022 and the Spaniard has done well so far. She booked her place in the quarter-finals with straight-set wins over Aliona Bolsova (6-0, 6-4) and Emiliana Arango (6-4, 6-3).
Rakhimova, meanwhile, started her tournament with a 7-6(3), 6-3 win over Raluca Serban and followed it up by beating Eugenie Bouchard 6-0, 6-7(7), 6-4 to seal her place in the quarter-finals.
Sorribes Tormo will start the match as the favorite and considering her current form, she should be able to beat the Russian and reach the semi-finals of the Copa Colsanitas 2023.

#3 Laura Pigossi vs Francesca Jones
Laura Pigossi will face Francesca Jones in the quarter-finals of the Copa Colsanitas 2023. This will be the very first meeting between the two.

Tamara Zidansek will face Peyton Stearns in the quarter-finals of the Copa Colsanitas 2023. It will be the very first meeting between the two.
Zidansek had a very strong start to the WTA 250 event as she thrashed Reka Luca Jani 6-0, 6-1 in the opening round. She then defeated Mirjam Bkorklung 7-6(3), 7-6(3) to book her place in the quarterfinals.
