The sixth day of main-draw action at the 2023 ATP Cordoba Open on Saturday (February 11) will feature the two semifinals.

On the fifth day of matches, the two Cerundolo brothers - second seed Federico and wildcard Juan Manuel - fell by the wayside. Third seed and defending champion Albert Ramos-Vinolas, sixth seed Federico Coria, fourth seed Sebastian Baez and wildcard Hugo Dellien booked their places in the last four.

They respectively beat Joao Sousa, Francisco Cerundolo, Tomas Barrios Vera and Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

With the field whittled down to the last four, here's a look at how the two semifinals could pan out at the first Golden Swing stop of the year:

#1 Albert Ramos-Vinolas (defending Cordoba winner) vs Federico Coria

Defending champion Albert Ramos-Vinolas will take on Argentine Federico Coria in the first Cordoba semifinal on Saturday.

The defending champion continued his serene progress through the draw on Friday, beating Joao Sousa in three sets. The left-hander, ranked 54th in the world, had arrived at the Argentinian city winless in four matches this year but now has consecutive wins.

Like Ramos-Vinolas, the 67th-ranked Coria also arrived at the tournament with a 0-4 start to the season but now has three wins in as many matches, having dropped just one set.

Ramos-Vinolas has never met Coria before, but expect the experienced Spaniard to reach his third straight final in the Argentinian city, albeit the hard way.

Prediction: Ramos-Vinolas in three sets

#2 Hugo Dellien vs Sebastian Baez

Qualifier Hugo Dellien has hit a rich vein of form in Cordoba, winning his fifth straight match - including qualifying - to storm into the last four. He will play home hope Sebastian Baez for a place in the title match.

The World No. 138 took out 2021 winner Juan Manuel Cerundolo on Friday night in three sets to improve to 3-1 on the season and 3-4 in the tournament. Earlier this week, the 29-year-old beat Argentinians Pedro Cachin and Guido Pella in his first two rounds.

Meanwhile, the 47th-ranked Baez reached his first Cordoba semifinal by ending the run of the unseeded Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera in three sets on Friday to improve to 2-3 on the season. Earlier this week, he beat Luciano Darderi to get off the mark in 2023.

Dellien and Baez have never met before, but considering the inspired run the former has hit in the tournament, expect the Bolivian to reach the title match.

Prediction: Dellien in three sets
