The fifth day of main-draw action at the 2023 Delray Beach Open on Friday (February 17) will feature all four quarterfinals.
On Thursday, four singles matches completed the last eight lineups. Victors on the day include former winner Radu Albot and Australian Open semifinalist Tommy Paul.
Without further ado, here's a look at how the four quarterfinals at Delray Beach could pan out:
#1 Marcos Giron vs Miomir Kecmanovic
Home hope Marcos Giron will take on Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic for a place in the last four at Delray Beach.
The 55th-ranked Giron improved to 7-4 on the season with a pair of straight-set wins this week. Meanwhile, World No. 33 Kecmaovic is 5-4 in 2023 after winning his opener in straight sets.
The two players haven't played before, but Giron should take this one owing to his better form.
Prediction: Giron to win in three sets.
#2 Radu Albot (2019 Delray Beach winner) vs Tommy Paul
Radu Albot will take on home favorite Tommy Paul in the Delray Beach quarterfinals.
The 113th-ranked Albot improved to 3-2 on the season with a pair of straight-set wins this week. Meanwhile, World No. 18 Paul returned to winning ways against compatriot Denis Kudla after making the semifinals at Melbourne Park last month. The American is now 8-2 in 2023.
Paul took his lone meeting with Albot in Nur-Sultan three years ago and should repeat the trick again.
Prediction: Paul to win in straight sets.
#3 Michael Mmoh vs Mackenzie McDonald
Michael Mmoh will take on his compatriot Mackenzie McDonald in all-American quarterfinal at Delray Beach.
The 87th-ranked Mmoh improved to 5-3 on the season after seeing off third seed Denis Shapovalov in the second round. Meanwhile, World No. 56 McDonald is now 8-4 in 2023 after also winning two matches this week.
Mmoh has not faced McDonald on tour before and could come up short against his in-form opponent in their maiden meeting.
Prediction: McDonald to win in straight sets.
#4 Taylor Fritz vs Adrian Mannarino
Top seed Taylor Fritz will take on France's Adrian Mannarino to complete the semifinal lineup.
The seventh-ranked Fritz won both matches this week to improve to 9-3 on the season. Meanwhile, World No. 59 Mannarino also did likewise to bring up his seventh win of the year in 11 matches.
Though Mannarino has taken two of his three previous meetings with Fritz, expect the American to win this one.
Prediction: Fritz to win in three sets.
