ITF Junior Tennis: Chinese Taipei players clinch all titles

Chinese Taipei players made a clean sweep of all titles at the DKS ITF Junior Tennis tournament here on Saturday.

In the Boys singles, unseeded Ray Ho got past India's Vasisht Cheruku in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 to lift the title, while Taipei girl Pei-Hsuan Chen won the crown with a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory over compatriot En Shuo Liang.

From 0-3 down Ray Ho won the first set 6-3

Ray Ho came back from 0-3 down in the opening set and snatched six continuous games to grab the set 6-3.

In the second, Vasisht Cheruku took a 4-2 lead by breaking Ray Ho in the fifth game. Thereafter, Ho pocketed four straight games to win the set 6-4. Ho thus get richer by 60 junior world ranking points.

In an all-Taipei Girls Singles final, seventh-seeded Pei-Hsuan Chen proved to be better than third-seeded En Shuo Liang. The Taipei competitor also took the two doubles titles.
