The fifth day of main-draw action at the 2023 Open 13 Provence in Marseille on Friday (February 24) will feature all four quarterfinals. Three seeds and a wildcard will be in action.
The likes of Hubert Hurkacz, Alex de Minaur and Grigor Dimitrov sailed through to the next round on Thursday, but the two other seeds fell by the wayside. Both - second seed Jannik Sinner and sixth seed David Goffin - gave walkovers to their respective opponents on account of injury.

With the draw down to the last eight, here's a look at how the four quarterfinals at Marseille could pan out on Friday:
#1 Hubert Hurkacz (Marseille top seed) vs Mikael Ymer
Top seed Hubert Hurkacz will lock horns with the unseeded Mikael Ymer for a place in the Marseille semifinals.
The World No. 11 improved to 7-4 on the season after beating Leandro Riedi in his opener. Meanwhile, the 69th-ranked Ymer is 5-5 in 2023 after downing Radu Albot in the first round. He then gained a walkover against Goffin in the next round (doesn't count as a win).
The two players have split their two previous meetings but haven't met since the 2021 Australian Open. Hubert has improved considerably since then and should see off Ymer comfortably.
Prediction: Hurkacz in straight sets
#2 Grigor Dimitrov vs Alexander Bublik
Fourth seed Grigor Dimitrov will square off against Alexander Bublik as he looks to reach the last four in Marseille.
The 25th-ranked Dimitrov is 7-3 for the season after seeing off Gijs Brouwer in his opener. Meanwhile, World No. 50 Bublik registered his first pair of wins in 2023 after arriving at the tournament with a 0-8 record.
The two players have split their four previous meetings, with Dimitrov winning the last two. Despite Bublik's resurgence this week, the Bulgarian should take this one.

#3 Stan Wawrinka vs Arthur Fils
Stan Wawrinka will take on wildcard Arthur Fils in the third quarterfinal of the Open 13 Provence.
The 105th-ranked Wawrinka has earned a pair of three-set wins this week to improve to 6-4 in 2023. Meanwhile, World No. 118 Fils - 3-1 for the season - is into back-to-back ATP quarterfinals after also making the last four in Montpellier.
The two players haven't met before, but Wawrinka's superior experience should see him through to the semifinals.

#4 Benjamin Bonzi vs Alex de Minaur
Benjamin Bonzi will take on third-seeded Alex de Minaur to complete the quarterfinal lineup at the Open 13 Provence.
The 60th-ranked Bonzi is 8-6 on the season following a pair of wins this week, while World No. 23 De Minaur is 7-3 in 2023 after opening his Marseille campaign with a win.
De Minaur has taken all three of his previous meetings with Bonzi and should repeat the trick again.
