Murray's long career came to an end at the Paris Olympics, where he was defeated by Americans Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul in the doubles quarterfinals. The Brit had partnered up with Dan Evans.

Many of Murray's biggest colleagues paid tribute to him, including the trio of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Now, the LTA has followed suit, renaming the center court at Queen's Club Championships as The Andy Murray Arena.

We are proud to name the arena at our tournament at the Queen’s Club after him," LTA Chief Executive, Scott Lloyd said.

Murray won two gold medals in singles - he is the only male tennis player to achieve this feat. He also has a mixed doubles silver medal at the event. Murray is also a David Cup champion, having won for Team Great Britain in 2015.

Murray claimed three Major titles: US Open in 2012, and Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016. He reached a Grand Slam final on eight more occasions. He has won 46 singles trophies on the tour, including one ATP Finals title. He was ranked World No. 1 for 41 weeks, a mean feat in the 'Big 3' era.

Thanks to his historic achievements, Murray was knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth at age 29, becoming the youngest (in modern times) to get this honor.
