The 2024 Nitto ATP Finals will kick off on Sunday, November 10, marking the fourth edition of the season finale in Turin. Fans at the Inalpi Arena are in for a thrilling week of tennis as the top eight players duke it out for year-end honors.
Top seed Jannik Sinner, last year’s runner-up, leads Day 1 action from the Ilie Nastase Group. Sinner has had an outstanding season, securing titles at the hardcourt Slams, Miami, Rotterdam, Halle, Cincinnati, and most recently, Shanghai. Eager to win the Finals title on home soil, he’ll lock horns with tournament debutant Alex de Minaur, who has enjoyed a solid season with titles in Acapulco and 's-Hertogenbosch.
In the second singles match of Day 1, 2020 ATP Finals champion Daniil Medvedev will square off against fifth seed and US Open finalist Taylor Fritz. Medvedev has surprisingly yet to win a title this season and will look to make a strong impression in Turin. Fritz, meanwhile, has claimed titles in Delray Beach and Eastbourne.
Doubles action on Day 1 features the Mike Bryan Group. Fresh off their Paris Masters win, Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic will open against Australians Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson. Second seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos will face Wimbledon champions Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten in the second doubles encounter.
