Nick Kyrgios is receiving a lot of criticism from tennis fans after seemingly taking a dig at Jannik Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya. This happened after the Aussie asked people about their take on the US Open men's singles final.

Kyrgios took to X and made a poll as to who out of Jannik Sinner or Taylor Fritz would come out on top at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. One fan, in a now-deleted tweet, shared an image of the Aussie with Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya. For context, Kyrgios used to date Kalinskaya.

The Aussie responded to the image by appearing to take a dig at the Russian.

"Second serve," he wrote.

Several fans expressed their annoyance at Kyrgios, with one calling the 29-year-old a "classless piece of s**t".

"You really should have had better parenting. I mean really. It’s a pity that you are being propped up as a human being while you are nothing but a classless piece of s**t," the fan stated.

One fan called for Nick Kyrgios to be suspended by ESPN, for whom he is currently working as a commentator.

"@espn and @usopen, you are sending a negative signal to the younger generation by promoting this character's harmful, aggressive and ignorant behavior," the fan stated.

One fan called Kyrgios an abuser, referring to when he was accused of assaulting his former partner.

"An abuser s**t shaming an ex girlfriend, I’m so shocked," the fan said.

Here are some more fan reactions:

"Just a rude, violent, idiot caveman. I hope every woman will avoid him," one fan said.
"But nothing personal, he just wants to talk about the injustice. he’s absolutely not an obsessed misogynist that thinks he owns his ex girlfriend, and has not been bitter about it all this time," one fan commented.
"Oh we know you're awful," another fan said while referring to Kyrgios admitting to assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

Nick Kyrgios heaped praise on Jannik Sinner's performances at the US Open while responding to an X post from journalist Ben Rothenberg about the Italian's run in New York after his doping controversy.

Rothenberg stated:

"Hard not to think about how much more fun this Jannik Sinner run would have felt if we were still in the dark about his whole anti-doping saga this year. The timing of that, and the way it showed a lack of transparency at the top of tennis for months, just leaves a bad taste."

Nick Kyrgios lauded Sinner by claiming that performing at his level was not easy while dealing with the doping issue.

"One of your better tweets. Nonetheless not easy to deal with all of this going on and still performing the way he is. Definitely the favourite now," the Aussie said.

Jannik Sinner reached his maiden US Open final after securing a 7-5. 7-6(3), 6-2 win over 25th seed Jack Draper. Here, he will face 12th seed Taylor Fritz in what will be the third meeting between the two. Their head-to-head is currently tied at 1-1 and victory for the 23-year-old would see him become the first Italian male player to win the singles title at the New York major.

Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya's US Open journey ended in the third round after she lost 3-6, 1-6 to 22nd seed Beatriz Haddad Maia, who went on to reach the quarterfinals. The Russian also competed in the women's doubles tournament, partnering Katie Boulter. The pair reached the second round before suffering a 6-7(8), 6-7(5) loss to eighth seeds Luisa Stefani and Demi Schuurs.
