Coco Gauff will soon make her television debut when she guest stars on the next episode of "All American: Homecoming".

The show, which follows Simone Hicks, played by actress Geffri Hightower, is a spinoff of the critically acclaimed "All American" series, a sports drama inspired by the life of former NFL player Spencer Paysinger.

In a press conference at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Gauff shed light on her acting experience, stating that she almost missed out on the opportunity as the shoot dates coincided with the WTA Finals.

"It was a very different experience. We did it in December during the offseason. It wasn't first going to work, because I think the first date they had me was during the WTA Finals. Obviously I wasn't going to miss that," she said.
"Yeah, during the offseason we were able to figure out a date," she added. "I don't know if I'll do it again. It was like all day, and I didn't realize how many times you have to do a scene over and over and over again. Drills in tennis are repetitive, but I think that's even more repetitive."

Gauff seemed to be in two minds about repeating the experience, though she seemed inclined towards not doing so as the work is "not as easy as it seems on the TV."

"It was cool. I would do it again because of the people I met, but I don't think I would do it again because of the work. But if I can meet cool people, yeah, I would keep doing. Huge respect to all the actors, people in that business. It's definitely not as easy as it seems on the TV," she opined.

Asked if the tennis world should worry about losing her to Hollywood, the teenager said with a smile:

"No, definitely not (smiling). Definitely not."

Coco Gauff has all the ingredients to become the 'next great' American tennis star, according to leading tennis coach Brad Gilbert. He, however, admitted that there is no guarantee of Gauff achieving those heights, suggesting she still has a long way to go.

Weighing in on the talk of Gauff potentially having a great career, particularly in singles, Andre Agassi's former coach praised her abundance of talent and said:

"She (Coco Gauff) has a world of talent and a great opportunity in the next 2-3 years to become the next great American player. But there's no given that it's just going to happen."
