Coco Gauff excited about new "pineapples, roses and dragonflies"-inspired colourway edition being added to her sneaker collection

American tennis player Coco Gauff is gushing over the latest edition of her customized shoes, curated by a leading footwear brand.

The shoe, named Coco CG1 "Neon Lights," draws inspiration from pineapples, roses, and dragonflies, and is one of North America's premium performance tennis shoe options for kids offered by New Balance.

Coco Gauff took to social media to express her admiration for the new footwear, which will add to her existing Coco CG1 collection.

Gauff shared the post on her Instagram stories, ecsatic about the launch of the new colorway.

"Yuhhhhhh, new colorway," she captioned the story on Instagram.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old was last seen in action at the Dubai Tennis Championships, where she lost in the semifinals to top seed Iga Swiatek 4-6, 2-6.

The pair have locked horns in many battles recently, with the latest coming at the 2022 WTA Finals -- where Swiatek won in straight sets. The pair also met earlier in the French Open final in 2022, in which Swiatek reigned supreme.

Coco Gauff hopes to continue to play good tennis

Coco Gauff has had a good start to the 2023 season and has been in fine form recently.

The American won the ASB Classic in January to kickstart her season with a bang and soon followed it up with a doubles title at the Qatar Open with compatriot Jessica Pegula.

The teenager has also been touted as one of the next big stars from the United States of America and in women's tennis in general, a sentiment she recently reflected on.

When asked about the same during the recently-concluded Dubai Tennis Championships, the World No. 6 said that although the expectations put pressure on her, she never endorsed these notions.

"Definitely it puts pressure on you. I never label myself that. I always said I just want to be the best that I can be. It definitely adds pressure to it, especially when you have these losses, people say things about you, the rest of your life," she said.

Gauff is also one of the few tennis players to show not too much emotion on the court, which, she admitted, was not that easy to do.

Oh, definitely teach myself. I'm still not perfect. There's moments where I definitely get frantic. But I think it's improving," she said. I feel like at least now, the last couple matches, you can't really get more calm than this. I'm not trying to go on the court and not crack a reaction at all. Unless you're like Roger, it's quite impossible," she said.
