Gauff produced an outstanding clay‑court season, culminating in a dominant title run at the 2025 French Open. The 21‑year‑old American reached the final by defeating seventh seed Madison Keys in the quarters and Lois Boisson in the semis.

In the final, she recovered from a first‑set tiebreak loss to World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, before going on to win 6‑7, 6‑2, 6‑4. This made Gauff the first American woman to win in Paris since Serena Williams in 2015, and it marked her second Grand Slam title.

Meanwhile, Americans Townsend and King made a splash in mixed doubles. Seeded No. 4, they reached the final after a dramatic semifinal win over Desirae Krawczyk and Neal Skupski.

Though they fell to Italy’s Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, their run was a high point. King also achieved a men’s doubles semifinal appearance alongside Christian Harrison and celebrated a personal milestone by proposing to his girlfriend, Sydney Gawlik, during the tournament.

Coco Gauff continues to shine as World No. 2 in singles following her French Open triumph. Her clay‑court campaign was exceptional. She kicked off the season with a victorious United Cup run, faced ups and downs leading into the spring hard‑court stretch, then regained form during the clay swing.

Runner-up finishes in Madrid and Rome preceded her Roland Garros title, cementing her consistency. Her consistency on clay has been pivotal in reaching and maintaining her No. 2 ranking, just behind Aryna Sabalenka.

Taylor Townsend remains a stalwart in doubles, holding World No. 2 on the WTA doubles ranking. Together with Katerina Siniakova, the pair have claimed two Grand Slam doubles titles (2024 Wimbledon, 2025 Australian Open) and multiple tour victories.

On the men's side, Evan King has made a remarkable climb. He broke into the ATP Top 20 in doubles after forming a full-time partnership with Christian Harrison in 2025. Their strong season includes two ATP 500 titles and a deep French Open run. King is currently ranked World No. 19 in doubles.
