Just before the start of the 2023 French Open, ace tennis player Coco Gauff revealed the Coco CG1 "Twisted Net" New Balance sneakers.

Gauff has been an ambassador of New Balance since she was just 14. In 2022, she extended her partnership with the brand and unveiled her first signature tennis shoes, the Coco CG 1 "Fuzzy Ace".

Continuing her collaboration with New Balance, Gauff launched the "Twisted Net", a new addition to her signature line.

The "Twisted Net" colorway sneakers draw inspiration from the classic tennis net but with a unique artistic twist. New Balance incorporated it with elements of cyberspace.

The sneakers feature flashes of blue and green, reminiscent of the chic French fashion scene. It also features a mid-top height and retro aesthetic along with the incorporation of a carbon fiber plate, which ensures both style and durability.

On Monday, May 22, Gauff took to social media to share a photo of her brand new sneakers, which she will don at the 2023 French Open.

Coco Gauff recently competed in the 2023 Italian Open where she got off to a good start by defeating Yulia Putintseva. However, her journey was cut short in the following round by Marie Bouzkova, who defeated her in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 2-6.

At a press conference following her defeat, Gauff was asked about the challenges of maintaining her aggressive playing style during high-pressure situations in significant matches.

The World No. 6 stated that her aggressive playing style has led to considerable success, but her ultimate ambition is to become the World No. 1 and win a Grand Slam.

"I think just the instinct of it. You do so much one way. I've been pretty successful playing the way I've been playing. But the goal isn't to be top 10 forever. The goal is to be No. 1 and win Grand Slams," Gauff said.
"I mean, the result goal would be to win Roland Garros," she added. "I mean, that's I feel like everybody who enters the tournament's goal. I do think just going back to committing to the process, I feel like this year we can really change the way I play. I feel like it's a crucial year for me. So I think I want to relearn and retrain myself to be aggressive."
