Coco Gauff recently opened up about her journey from humble beginnings to winning her first Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open. The American's parents, Candi and Corey Gauff expressed their love and support for their daughter as she reflected on her past, present, and future in tennis.

In a commercial for the consulting and public accounting firm Baker Tilly, where she has served as an ambassador since January 2023, Gauff shared some details about her tennis journey, including the emotional aftermath of the 2023 US Open win.

"I won the US Open and I still just didn't feel it. It took me like a week to actually believe that it had happened. I had found myself uncontrollably crying sometimes. Not like sadness, but disbelief. I wanted to win a Grand Slam as a teenager, so I felt like the clock was just kind of ticking. I just didn't expect it," Gauff said.

Gauff acknowledged that reaching this level required a lot of self-work, but the reward has been worth it. With her first Grand Slam under her belt, she is already looking forward to future victories, saying:

"It took a lot of self-work to get to where I am, but the payoff is definitely pretty good. Every tennis player's dream is to win a Grand Slam, so everybody's just giving it their all, and I'll let you know when I win the next one how it goes."

Candi Gauff shared the commercial on her Instagram story and captioned it with a string of hearts emojis. She also left a supportive comment on the main video that read:

"Continue to grow, evolve, and enjoy life. I love you!!!"
