Tennis legend Chris Evert recently commented on Daniil Medvedev's on-court antics, saying she enjoys them just as much as his fans.
Apart from being a great tennis player, Medvedev is well-known for his on-court antics. The Russian is known to be vocal about his dislikes, as evidenced by his numerous rants to chair umpires over the years -- most notably during the 2022 Australian Open against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals. He did the same in the 2023 BNP Paribas Open as well after being dissatisfied with the slow quality of the hardcourts at Indian Wells.
Chris Evert recently told Eurosport that she, personally, loves Medvedev's on-court antics, adding that the Russian can act like a "little kid" and a "mischievous little bad boy" on the court at times.
"I love him. I think he's very charismatic. I thought he spoke very eloquently, and he speaks very well. He's very likeable - he's like a little kid on the court sometimes when he's like a mischievous little bad boy," Evert said.
The American then praised Daniil Medvedev's bold personality, pointing out that he was not afraid to wear his heart "on his sleeve."
"But I think it adds a lot of personality to the game of tennis, and he's not afraid to wear his personality or his heart on his sleeve. I think it's good to have all those varieties," Evert said.

Chris Evert stated in the same interview that she enjoys watching Daniil Medvedev's "wonderful" game, especially marveling at his power and movement.
"His game is wonderful to watch. At times, you can't believe the shots that he pulls out of the hat. He's very unpredictable in his shot-making. He's got the power and he's got the movement," Evert said.
The 18-time Grand Slam winner then discussed Daniil Medvedev's loss to Carlos Alcaraz in the 2023 Indian Wells final, saying that the Russian will now try to figure out another game plan to face Alcaraz next time.
"He's going to go back to the drawing board probably after this past match at Indian Wells and try to figure out another kind of game plan for Carlos, but his hands were tied. There's really nothing he could do. I think he's great for the game. I'm a fan of his," Evert said.
Medvedev is currently competing at the 2023 Miami Open, where he will open his campaign against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena in the second round.
