Boris Becker's life and career has been tracked in a new documentary.

An Apple TV+ documentary on the life and career of German tennis legend Boris Becker is set for an April release, much to the excitement of the six-time Grand Slam singles champion himself. The documentary, titled Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker is set for an April 7 release on Apple TV+ after it first premiered in Berlin last month.

The film tracks Becker's celebrated career on the tennis court and his controversial life off it, including the period of his court trial for financial fraud, for which he was sentenced to prison last year. Becker was released in December after serving eight months in prison in the UK and even attended the premiere of his documentary in Berlin.

Now that a worldwide release date has been announced, Becker expressed his excitement for the same.

"Game, Set and Action. I'm looking forward to the Apple TV+ Documentary 'Boom! Boom! The world vs. Boris Becker' launching on Friday 7th April @appletvplus," Boris Becker wrote on Instagram.

As per the official logline, the documentary has explored "every aspect" of Becker's highly successful tennis career that saw him win Grand Slams, many other titles, and the 1992 Barcelona Games Olympic gold medal, as well as his "tumultous" personal life.

"The series aims to explore every aspect of the man who became a tennis sensation after winning The Wimbledon Championships at the age of just 17, going on to win 49 career titles including six Grand Slams and an Olympic gold medal, as well as his high profile, sometimes tumultuous personal life," read a statement from Apple TV.

The new two-part series was directed by Alex Gibney and co-produced by Ventureland and Jigsaw Productions, in association with Lorton.

Apart from interviews with Becker himself, who talked in detail about various aspects of his life and career, the documentary Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker also includes interviews with Novak Djokovic, who Becker formerly coached, as well as other big names in the tennis world, including John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Mats Wilander, and Michael Stich. It also includes an interview with Becker just a couple of days before he was sentenced to prison in the UK.

The 55-year-old German, who now permanently resides in Germany, shared some thoughts on his life during a press conference at the documentary's premiere in Berlin in February.

"I’m the last person to complain about my life. I’m 55 years old and I’m very proud of the things that I’ve done. But I’ve made mistakes," Becker said, as per Variety.

Becker has been very vocal and active on social media, sharing his views on tennis, among many other things, ever since he returned home to Germany after his release from prison.
