Emma Raducanu, who has begun rehab following multiple surgeries, continues to be active on social media, much to the delight of fans who have been sending in their messages of support.

Raducanu, who has been hampered by injuries ever since her maiden Grand Slam triumph in 2021, has now completed procedures on her wrists as well as on her ankle.

The 20-year-old shared a video of herself gently flexing her wrist while commencing the rehab process in a hospital ward, even as she attempted a smile.

"Emma on Instagram stories, rehab"

One fan wished the young star to get well soon while hoping that she has a nice weekend.

"Get well soon love you have a great weekend"

Emma Raducanu announced earlier this month that she would be out of action "for the next months" after having opted to go under the knife following persistent injuries that have affected her on-court performance in no small measure.

"It is safe to say the last 10 months have been difficult as I dealt with a recurring injury to a bone of both hands.. I'm having a minor procedure done on both hands to resolve the issues. I'm disappointed to share that I will be out for the next few months and while I am at it will have another minor procedure that is due on my ankle," she explained on social media."

As a result of the surgeries that she has been forced to undergo, the Briton will miss out on the upcoming French Open and Wimbledon tournaments.

Emma Raducanu's fairytale run at the 2021 US Open led to the teenager assuming the status of a British sporting icon. After winning the New York Major as a qualifier and doing so without dropping a set, she was expected to emerge as a major force on the women's tour.

Following a split with coach Andrew Richardson, under whose tutelage the youngster attained Grand Slam glory, Raducanu's career nosedived as a result of frequent injuries and bad form.

During the course of a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Richardson stated that he received a "brief call" from Raducanu's agent informing him that they wanted to go in a "different direction" following the US Open when a renegotiation of the contract was due.

Richardson told the Daily Mail:

"After probably 10 days to two weeks [following the US Open], I didn’t have a contract. We were in the process of re-negotiating, and then I got a brief call from her agent telling me they were going to go in a different direction, and that was the end of it."

After being guided by Jeremy Bates in Indian Wells that year, she hired Torben Beltz as a full-time coach but split with the German in less than five months.

Sebastian Sachs made an entry as a trial coach in Emma Raducanu's team late last year after Russian Dmitry Tursunov's contract was not extended.
