Carlos Alcaraz put on a thrilling display to successfully defend his French Open title, overcoming rival Jannik Sinner in a hard-fought 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(2) win in the final on Sunday, June 8. The victory marked his fifth Grand Slam title and first of the season, after failing to win the Australian Open earlier this year.

Alcaraz's triumph in Paris earned him a hefty $2,901,024 from the tournament's record $61,423,680 prize pool, along with 2000 ranking points, while Sinner took home $1,450,512 and 1300 ranking points. Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti received $784,983 each after being eliminated in the semifinals.

Third seed Alexander Zverev, 12th seed Tommy Paul, 15th seed Frances Tiafoe, and unseeded Alexander Bublik all exited in the quarterfinals. Each of them earned $500,569 for their efforts.

Meanwhile, players eliminated in the fourth round, including fifth seed Jack Draper, 10th seed Holger Rune, 13th seed Ben Shelton, 17th seed Andrey Rublev, 25th seed Alexei Popyrin, Tallon Griekspoor, Cameron Norrie, and Daniel Altmaier, took home $301,479 each.

14th seed Arthur Fils, 23rd seed Sebastian Korda, 24th seed Karen Khachanov, Jiri Lehecka, Henrique Rocha, Joao Fonseca, Flavio Cobolli, Ethan Quinn, Jacob Fearnley, Filip Misolic, Mariano Navone, Quentin Halys, Hamad Medjrdovic, Nuno Borges, Matteo Gigante, and Damir Dzumhur, each earned $191,126 for a third-round finish.

Those knocked out in the second round, including seventh seed Casper Ruud, ninth seed Alex de Minaur, 19th seed Jakub Mensik, 20th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 27th seed Denis Shapovalov, and others, received $133,106 each.

Players who were sent home packing in the opening round, such as fourth seed Taylor Fritz, 11th seed Daniil Medvedev, 16th seed Grigor Dimitrov, 18th seed Francisco Cerundolo, 21st seed Tomas Machac, 29th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, and others, each bagged $88,737.

Fifth seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos clinched the 2025 French Open men’s doubles title on Saturday, June 7, defeating eighth seeds Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in the final. The champions took home $671,393 in prize money, while the runners-up walked away with $335,696.
