Among the tennis players, Dimitrov, Frances Tiafoe, Richard Gasquet, Marta Kostyuk, Victoria Azarenka, Donna Vekic and Casper Ruud made an appearance.

The 19th edition of the event partnered with the 'Playing For Change Foundation', which seeks to bring positive change by establishing music programs for marginalized communities.

Grigor Dimitrov recently opened up about the negative effect the comparison with Roger Federer has had on him. Dimitrov was given the moniker "Baby Fed" early in his career due to the similarities he shared with the Swiss great's playing style.

In an interview with 'We Are Tennis' on March 2 the Bulgarian revealed that no young player should have to face the burden of such a great legacy. He added that he was glad to have made a name for himself despite the irrelevant comparisons.

"That should be a lesson for every young player who comes into the game. No one should carry such a burden upon his name, I'll tell you that much," he said.
"That was, I think one of the most, I would say, irrelevant comparisons in my eyes, in my view and I think in everybody's. And what I am the most happy with that I made a name for myself," he added.

Speaking about his 2023 season, the former World No. 3 said that he had been working hard to make the necessary tweaks to his game for future success.

"I've been enjoying it and also putting a lot of work, trying to do things a little bit different than I have in the past, trying to play a little bit more, just get out of my comfort zone a little bit and I think it will also push me to be better in every department that I need to improve," he said.

Grigor Dimitrov will be in action at the 2023 Indian Wells Masters where he will take on the winner of the first-round match between Lorenzo Sonego and Jason Kubler.
