Coco Gauff recently signed up to be an ambassador for Carol's Daughter, an American beauty brand.

Gauff first shot to stardom last year when she won her maiden Major title at the 2023 US Open. Since then, the 20-year-old has recorded consistent results to establish herself as a top-three WTA player.

Coco Gauff is also doing well on the sponsorship front; she signed a multi-year partnership deal with Carol's Daughter earlier this month. Speaking to PopSugar, the American star was hyped about working with the company, which has largely focussed on uplifting Black beauty with its wide variety of products.

The reigning US Open champion disclosed that she had been using the American beauty brand's products before signing up with them. She also asserted that styling her hair for matches was a means of 'self-expression' for her.

"I was using Carol's Daughter's products for years before this opportunity came to me. As I've matured, I've started learning to embrace my hair more, and working with this brand felt like perfect alignment," Coco Gauff said. "It was founded by a Black woman with an emphasis on family, and given how close I am to mine, this partnership just felt authentic to me."
"When I play, I like to wear protective hairstyles because I need low-manipulation looks. When I was young, I committed myself to showcasing Black hairstyles when I play, and that's something that I take pride in," she added. "Whether it's box braids, twists, or my natural hair, it's a form of self-expression that I'm really proud of, especially because you still don't see it very often in our sport."

Coco Gauff names her go-to hair products: "I'm on the go all the time, so I just apply some onto my hair"

Coco Gauff further named some of her favourite products she applies to her hair. The 20-year-old has a busy schedule, meaning she must be very mindful when it comes to styling her hair daily.

"My favorite product for my protective styles, especially if they're goddess braids, is the Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner," Gauff said. "I'm on the go all the time, so I just apply some onto my hair, rake it through, and then I'm off to compete."

The American added that she had also tried products from her friend Jessica Pegula's brand 'Ready 24'.

"I really like the Rhode Pineapple Cleanser. My doubles partner, Jessie Pegula, also has a brand called Ready 24, and I've been really enjoying its Refreshing Lavender Mist and Daily Antioxidant Moisturizer," she said. "I also love using Aquaphor as lip balm and moisturizer. It's my holy grail product."
