In pictures: Emma Raducanu spends her day on the racing tracks

Emma Raducanu was recently spotted donning a racing kit and spending some time on a go-kart track.

Raducanu has taken a short break from the tour with the aim of regrouping herself ahead of the clay season. She will be hoping for a strong comeback after what has been an underwhelming start to the season on hardcourts.

During her break, Raducanu swapped rackets for cars. The Brit has been something of a petrolhead, having raced go-karts and motocross in her early days. In her most recent engagement with motor sports, the 20-year-old was seen sporting a racing kit and posing for pictures against the backdrop of a go-kart racing track.

On Monday (April 3), Raducanu took to social media to share pictures of the same. In the mix was a picture of a young Raducanu in her racing kit, barely peeking through a gigantic helmet.

"reviving the cooler emma in a different type of workout :)," she captioned her Instagram post.

Raducanu, who is a brand ambassador for German automobile manufacturer Porsche, has been open about her love for cars. She fulfilled one of her life ambitions last year, taking a 911 Carrera S for a spin around the track at Silverstone alongside former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber.

Reflecting on her time on the track, Raducanu stated that she had a "blast" drifting the sportscar around.

"Project drifting + my favourite type of [doughnut emoji] silverstone was a blast," she wrote on Twitter.

Emma Raducanu signed a lucrative deal with Porsche back in March 2022, making her the brand ambassador for the car manufacturing company.

After the deal went through, Raducanu revealed that she has had a love for Porsche since she was a teenager, adding that she only aligns with brands she has a real passion for.

"Porsche has always been in my head. It is one of the brands that I’ve loved from a young age," she said.

"One of my coaches had a 911 Targa. Yeah, cool coach. Whenever I would see him I would be like dreaming of one day sitting in my own. It’s important for me to align with partners and brands that I really feel passionate about and that I identify with," Raducanu added.

Meanwhile, on tour, Emma Raducanu most recently played at the Miami Open, where she endured a first-round defeat to Bianca Andreescu.
