Jessica Pegula recently shared some behind-the-scenes moments from Madison Keys' wedding. Keys tied the knot with Bjorn Fratangelo on Sunday (Nov. 24) in Charleston.
Fratangelo has also been the former World No. 7's coach since 2023. Under his guidance, Keys had a quarterfinal run at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, ultimately losing to Aryna Sabalenka. Pegula recently took to social media to share a collection of photos from Keys' wedding festivities in Charleston. She shared pictures capturing her time in Charleston before and after the wedding ceremony.
Jessica Pegula also shared a video featuring herself, Brady, Krawczyk and others dancing to the tune of American rock band Paramore's hit song "Ain't It Fun."
“Ain’t it funnnnnnn?" Pegula captioned her Instagram post.
During the wedding celebrations, Pegula and several other tennis stars had attempted to recreate the viral TikTok dance to Charli XCX's "Apple."
Madison Keys on her husband Bjorn Fratangelo: “We don’t have to be doing something in particular to enjoy being together”
During an interview in 2020, Madison Keys had opened up about her relationship with Bjorn Fratangelo. She said that as a couple, they balance each other well.
“We balance each other out pretty well. He likes to always be doing something, and I could lay on the couch for hours and not even realize it. I think I’ve helped him chill out when he starts getting antsy about being home,” Keys said [via Tennis.com].
Keys added:
“We don’t have to be doing something in particular to enjoy being together. We laugh together a lot and Bjorn is constantly keeping me on my toes,” she added.
In addition to coaching her, Bjorn Fratangelo had partnered with Madison Keys for playing the mixed doubles at the 2022 US Open. The duo received a wildcard and had defeated another American wildcard pair Jaeda Daniel and Richard Ciamarra in the first round. However, their campaign ended in the second round after losing to the pair of Zhang Shuai and Mate Pavic.
