Day 10 of the 2023 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells will see players trying to book their place in the championship round. All semifinals, except for the men's singles event, will be contested on Friday.
The day is set to begin with the women's doubles semifinals. The top-seeded pairing of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova are up against Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara.
The Czech duo have been the most dominant team on the doubles circuit and are the favorites to reach the final. Miyu Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi will square off against Laura Siegemund and Beatriz Haddad Maia after that.
Aryna Sabalenka and Maria Sakkari will renew their rivalry in the first women's singles semifinal. The former has lost just one match this year and will be gunning for her third final of the season.
Defending champion Iga Swiatek will take on Elena Rybakina in the other semifinal. The latter is one of the few players to defeat the World No. 1 this year, knocking her out of the Australian Open. However, Swiatek is now in much better form than she was at the start of the year.
